Design Objectives
To create a shifter that integrates Archer Components’ universal wireless shifting technology into an off-the-shelf TRP Hylex RS brake lever.
Concept Exploration
After analyzing the user requirements, ergonomics, existing component layout, and looking at the available space we had to fit everything in, we started sketching out ideas of how to make it all work.
Prototyping
Many prototypes were made to support the design process, testing parts breakup, ergonomics, and aesthetics.
FINAL DESIGN INTENT
A fully functional wireless shifter that looks, feels, and performs better than the TRP’s own Di2 shifter kit.
